People: Mortimer "Mort" Gershman

Mortimer “Mort” Gershman was a talented executive who lent his talents for many years to Elizabeth General. He served with great distinction on the Medical Center’s Board, and on the Finance, Joint Conference and Executive Committees, and he was a major figure in the 2000 consolidation with St. Elizabeth Hospital. Following the consolidation Mort continued his active Board membership with Trinitas for many years. Fixtures in the Greater Elizabeth Community, he and his wife Jackie devoted themselves to volunteer work with many organizations.
