People: Andrew H. Campbell

Elizabeth General Medical Center was the beneficiary for many years of the talents of Andrew “Andy” Campbell. The owner of Eastern Steel Barrel Corp and CEO of several related Elizabeth-based businesses, Andy was a past Chairman of the Board of Elizabeth General. During his tenure on the Board he was also a member of the Long Range Planning Committee, the Medical Organization Committee and the Compensation Committee.

His wife Cynthia and their children were strong supporters of the hospital. Among his many awards he was the New Jersey Hospital Association’s Trustee of the Year. The Andrew H. Campbell Pavilion at Trinitas was dedicated in his memory.
